Facade Records - Domo Genesis
Facade Records - Domo Genesis First Thoughts Domo Genesis dropped his highly anticipated Mixtape/EP 'Facade Records' last Friday, with features from artists including the up and coming IDK, Cozz and the Compton raised Buddy. The 6 track project has been well received by Domo Genesis' fanbase, with his lyrical prowess and flows shining through on certain tracks, while smooth melodies entertaining others to form an overall well-rounded project that can be enjoyed by new and old fans. Tracklist 1. Two Tone Durag 2. Consecutive Normal Punches (Ft. Buddy) 3. Online 4. Creepshow (Ft. IDK & Chip tha Ripper) 5. Power Trip (Ft. Cozz) 6. Facade Records Favourite Tracks/Ones To Listen To Personally, the standout track from this project is actually the opener, Genesis' solo effort on 'Two Tone Durag'. His incredible control of the bouncy, almost BoomBap style beat, alongside his lyrical ability throughout the track (and project as a whole) make this a definite favourite. As much as the opener is a standout however, the closing track from the project, and the title track 'Facade Records' offers a contrasting listening experience, with some brilliant harmonizing and great production. It's a track you can vibe to with ease and definitely worth a listen. Basically, there isn't a bad track on the mixtape, with each offering a unique and noteworthy experience. If you've never heard a Domo Genesis song, or any other of the artists involved, this is a brilliant place to start. Album Ranking If I had to give the project a rating out of 10, it'd be a solid 8. Nothing revolutionary or gamechanging, but what we do get is a 6 song tracklist of sogs bound to drag you back for more. Thank you for reading, I hope you all enjoyed and maybe give the mixtape a listen. It's available on most platforms. Have a great day |
