Frankly when I say boring I'm not saying it's bad, just meh. Nothing to make me jump out of my seat but nothing that's bad. Like the music in AMSP it's not awful music, but nothing interesting is happening.

I'm listening to AMSP again after not listening to it fully in several months and it's still as amazing as I remember.

It's certainly different than Radiohead, but the vocals are similar.

The Radiohead comparison makes sense but really doesn't fit. However, it's a good album on its own merits.

TBH I've never taken the trouble to listen to their music, but across the weekend I might give them a go. Is Moon Shaped Pool a reasonable place to start?

In Rainbows, Kid A, Amnesiac. OK Computer is probably their most widely known (I guess?). But Moon Shaped Pool isn't a bad place to start.
