Miley Cyrus was actually my favorite part of the album. I like her voice a lot, she has something about her that not many other pop people have.

Like the new Miley and Her Dead Petz album. At least she's willing to do some interesting stuff

If she did stuff like this more often I think more people would like her. I think her music is sh*t but she has talent, just in the wrong places.

The Flaming Lips one.

And I agree, her new album is actually pretty okay. A bit too long though. Trim the fat.

C'mon, though, some of the worst lyrics of 2015 on that Miley album.

Yeah I smoke pot
Yeah I love peace
But I don't give a ****
I ain't no hippie.

followed by

WHY THEY PUT THE DICK IN THE PUSSY?

Which I guess has already been memified to the point that everyone knows it. But still.

Did Flaming Lips not do exactly the same thing in 2012, but with Kesha instead of Miley Cyrus and the result was an equally sh*tty album?

As for last year's worst albums

5. King Cresote - From Scotland with Love: Fell from a shortbread tin and got concussed on the way down. A bunch of dull songs about Caledonia and the like. He's Scottish you see, so here's a few songs about being from Scotland. The way King Cresote bangs on you'd think he was the first musician we've ever produced. Horribly outdated, and outwith a small bar on Stornaway, I don't see where his target demographic is.

4. Amerigo Gazaway - Yasiin Gaye: The Departure (Side One): An uninspired project that takes Black on Both Sides and remixes it to Marvin Gaye. Why? Who knows, who cares. This just makes you want to listen to the original and to never revisit this lazy excuse for music. Same category as whoever 'Chops and Screws' various hip-hop albums.

3. Michael Cera - True That: Getting a tad too old to play the socially awkward one in High School romcoms, Cera has a desperate stab at low fi folk to try and rekindle a modicum of relevance. The results are super bad.

2. Bonnie Prince Billy -Singer's Grave a Sea of Tongues: Never heard any of this guys heralded stuff. This was obviously a bad place to start. Mind numbing boredom.

1. Ghetts - Rebel with a Cause: Bunch of wannabe gangster poustering in the first half combined with terrible rapping and harsh, abrasive production that is like nails to chalkboard.
Second half Ghett's makes a Jez from Peep Show attempt at life coaching and tells everyone how he got his life together for his daughter. Would be quite funny if there was a shred of irony.

I hope you burn in hell. Warrior is a fantastic album.

Lol. I'm gonna have to check that out, if for no other reason than to hear the song featuring Ke$ha. But I seem to remember that one of the guys from the Flaming Lips helped write at least one of the songs from Warrior.
