Default Norah Jones & Billy Joe Armstrong- Foreverly

Album: Foreverly
Artists: Norah Jones & Billy Joe Armstrong
Release date: November 25,1013
Rating: 4 stars out of 5

A low-fi album of Everly Brothers songs by jazz stylist Norah Jones and Green Day frontman Billy Joe Armstrong? Contrary to expectations, this odd combination of musical talent has created one of the better albums of 2013. Instead of recording an album of the Everly Brothers "greatest hits", Norah & Billie Joe recreate the music of a lesser known 1958 Everly album, Songs Our Father Taught Us. The old fashioned Sun Records studio production techniques are charming and the big surprise is how well the voices of Nora and Billy Joe blend. It's a great album for roots music fans or anyone looking for a unique addition to their music collection.
