That is pretty damn good, I downloaded it. You know New York is always overshadowed by the Bay area, but they had a lot going on back then.

I think the NYHC influence gave them a bit more meat and a bit least weedly weedly. Even Anthrax (circa Among the Living) had a guitar style that sounded more Cro-Mags than Judas Priest.

And if you only downloaded the one song then go ahead and get Epidemic of Violence. It's easily their best album and is just as solid as that song all the way through.

Yes the NYC was definitely a more hardcore inspired scene with all the crossover thrash bands like Carnivore, the Crumbsuckers and metal inspired hardcore like the Cro mags, while bands like Testament seem much more Diamond Head inspired.

I just happen to be revisiting thrash metal at the moment so I'll give the album a whirl, thanks.
