Hey guys, new to the site and not sure that I can just jump in, but I'm going to anyways.
Nothing More is truly an original piece of work. The guys have a great friendship that goes back for years and I believe that helps with how well they play together. Jonny, the singer, and Mark, the guitarist, started playing together in middle school, and they finally talked Daniel, the bassist, into joining later on. Actually, Jonny was the the drummer for the first 8 years or so in the band, having been part of the drum line in high school. He's actually said that he'll always be a drummer first, but when they kept cycling through different singers, he took on the role himself and I personally am so glad that he did. His vocal talents are amazing and really compliment NoMo's sound. I've gotten the chance to interview Jonny (you can find it on backstagevips.com and he really is a sweet guy, as are the rest of the band each time I've met them. One thing I really love about Nothing More is that they don't just find influences through music, but they branch off into everything that could inspire. From authors to scientist, philosophers and astrophysicists, they find a muse in all things creative. They love what they do and really pour their heart and soul into not only creating the music but performing too. One of the best live shows I've seen in quite some time, especially with their bass solo and fun drums that they've built just for their live performances. They're getting ready to start touring with Periphery in a few days, if they come to your town, I definitely recommend going out to see them play. |
