Yeah, let anyone who tries to say that metal and hip hop are the biggest genres on this site look at these Smiths-loving lists. Alternative is and probably always will be king here.

I use the term dad rock very lightheartedly towards the older members.
I know music's subjective, I'm not one of the pretentious people who'll say "your music taste is bad, listen to something I like, but if you do I'll have to now hate it" I'm cool with everyone liking different things. Out of interest what would you define as dad rock? |

Music that a dad would listen to I imagine. Classic rock and hair bands these days I suppose.
