This is going to be an easy review for me to write as I've had this album since age 9.
After track 8 (Black or White) it is apparent to me the enormous amount of work that went into this. Michael Jackson was NOT lazy - he went into some excruciatingly hard work/labor for his fans here. There are moments it seems his voice is cracking from pressure and exhaustion of being too perfect 99.5% of the time. It is no wonder to me why he was so thin his entire life now. Lazy was not part of his demeanor or vocab.
While abuse from his Father is not as obvious in this album as earlier ones were (yes, I think and feel that deeply) the remnants of being a slave to work and perfection (the crack of Dad's whip/belt) are evident.
It is no wonder he only lived to be 50. His body and mind were equivalent to age 150.
