Hmm, I see it differently. I consider my boyfriend my mirror because he reflects back the love I feel for him, and we become part of each other, like two people become one. There's a lot of references in music to this phenomenon. It's just one perspective though, like I said. Everyone reacts to/describes/feels love differently.
It's wholly possible that your friend related to the lyrics of Mirrors in a different way than you and I do, even. ^^
