Default Keane - Strangeland

Well, since 2008 when Keane´s Perfect Symmety album was released they have been busy working on their new album; Strangeland. Strangeland includes some very interesting songs like; Silenced By The Night, Disconnected, On The Road, ,You Are Young and Sovereign Light Cafe. Keane is still using their piano and synthesizers for their songs, but it sounds like there is something missing in the songs in my opinion. It just isn´t the old Keane that we used to know. After their Perfect Symmetry album they got a new member in the band; Jesse Quin on bass. Since Jesse joined, they problably had to change their music a bit. The album is still great despite these words, but it doesnt remind me of the old Keane. The album includes 12 songs, but in the Deluxe Edition it includes 4 more songs. Strangeland has some great rythms and piano playing. The lyrics aren´t that bad either. But if Keane are to make a new album I hope they make it a more "classic" Keane.

Actually I believe that their new album harkens back to the former style of their first two albums. The vocals are there along with the musical arrangements. I think that they are once again heading in the right direction. The album is a grower. The more one listens to it the more one can appreciate just what's going on there.

After listening to the new album numerous more times I can safely say that in my opinion this is Keane's best work to date. The songs have that classic Keane sound that I thought they would never find again........

It is a grower and reminds me of their first album in parts.
