I still remember the first time I played this record one evening and being like 'Wow, this is brilliant' my opinion is yet to change. Also, I remember taking over the speaker system poolside when in holiday in Kos this summer and playing TMS to a bunch of hungover teens who were accustomed to the musical 'stylings' of such artists as Will.I.A.M and David Guetta so you can imagine the look on their faces when I've Seen Footage started blaring. The old Greek women who was the mother of the Hotel's owner, that just sat around and smoked all day suddenly got a burst of life into her as she tried to turn the noise off before remembering she was old and had no idea of how any of the current technology worked. I think she was stumped by my Ipods lock function. Hell, she was probably looking for a needle to lift. Everyone looked disgusted and most held their hands to their ears trying to drown it out. My mate turned to me and asked what it was, I told him it was The Money Store. He and I were the only ones who seemed to like it. A few months later he swung by my house to pick me up and Hacker was playing in his car. I was swept away in emotions of pride. After so long of his car playing Call Me Maybe and Nicki Minaj's Starships, which are undoubted classics, it was nice to hear a change. Last edited by 14232949; 12-30-2012 at 08:44 PM. |
