Flockavelli was a shocker too, but Lex Luger got best new beats from Rolling Stone too. Music publications are weird, if i ever worked for one i'd probably need one of you dudes to put me down.
Ross is super bland though, his delivery and beats aren't even all that hot, and his lyrics are sub par Lil Wayne leftovers. BTW, Drake is another one. He weasled his way into the top ten on P4k's best of '11 while Shabazz got left back at 16, along with Odd Future or Radiohead being totally unrepresented. I was pissed at music last year after that list. I know it's off topic, but was the Bon Iver release any good? Amidst indie obscurity and bad choices, he got #1 on that list of best of '11. Also, yeah, spaces and ALLLL except for the somfin. I'm not exactly sure though.

I liked Bon Iver, not nearly as much as the first album.
It wasn't just the indie sphere that praised him, he won a grammy. And he did a song with Kanye West.Bon iver pretty much made 2011 his bitch, figuratively lol. The drake adoration was beyond me. I swear it has something to do with the weeknd craze, and how drake just rapped over their music. You'll start to notice that hip hop is a genre that is constantly being interpreted incorrectly by media. No matter how respected the publication (pitchfork, rolling stone whatever) they're still going to pick some stupid **** like drake over shabazz. Websites that specialize in hip hop are even worse-2dopeboyz,xxxl freshman ****. |

I never got to finish watching the Grammies, but good for him! I just about blew him off because i thought he was overhyped. I'm damn near blowing MBDTF by Kanye off for the same reason, but I can't deny it's a good album.
I forgot about the Weeknd craze too, but the funny thing is they came behind Drake too. Speaking of which, are the Weeknd good too? All i heard about em sounded pretty promising, but it's from sources i'm having a public spat with.

the weeknds pretty tight but its all like sensual sex type music and i can't relate so i never listen to them. I think even if i was having lotsa sex i'd be bored by their music though.
I dunno, they're good qualities are easy to recognize, but they're kinda boring. It's directed at the ladiez. The music videos are pretty smexy |
