The problem with this album is that
a) it's too eclectic for its own good - there's no running "theme" or anything, so everything on the album is completely different than what came before it. There's nothing holding it together musically. b) it's just a bad storyline (virtually no storyline to speak of, even though there's supposed to be one) and it feels like a bunch of various/random songs over a very vague topic That said, I do like this album a lot but it's definitely not up to par with American Idiot. It won't be remembered like American Idiot will be in the coming years. |

I honestly think it's a great album
I'm a musican, some of my friends don't like this music cuz it's "too simple" I think these guys are great, I remember one time when I was kinda depressed and I started listening to their stuff and it cheered me up |

One of the few albums I actually regret buying. I think it is the ONLY album in my collection that I'd give 1*. It's just one over-long American Idiot B-side. (in my opinion)

21st century breakdown, was pretty good, but somehow the tunes weren't quite as epic and out there as the ones in AI. I guess 21 guns, know your enemy, east jesus nowhere and horseshoes and handgrenades were pretty sick, but the others just didn't live up to expectations. maybe cos they raised the bar so damn high with american idiot.
