Default Andrea Caccese - Icarus Falling / Set the world on fire

Intimate lo-fi production, acoustic guitars and ghostly feedbacks are the echoes that drive Andrea Caccese's debut, “Icarus Falling / Set the world on fire”.

This ep features 4 tracks that come from different sessions; recorded in apartments, hotel rooms, trains and airports during Andrea’s travels all over Europe in late 2010 and in his new hometown, Västerås (Sweden) in early 2011 with the help of cellist Nadja Ali.

Despite the recording’s instinctive approach and “on the road” birth, the songs sound organic and accomplished, each one bringing a different mood and feeling to the table. Andrea’s debut ep is like a little musical scrapbook in which he has been collecting numerous bits of influences. Folk and post rock blend in, leaving plenty of room for hints of alternative rock, 60s pop and ambient to meddle in.
