The Heliocentric Worlds of Sun Ra, Volume Two
1966 ![]() Tracks 1. The Sun Myth 2. A House of Beauty 3. Cosmic Chaos An astonishing album from start to beginning. Albeit, it lacks the sheer forceful genius of the first volume. the second Heliocentric worlds is not one to be missed. Especially, in terms of percussion experimentation. There's really scaresly any albums I've ever heard with the same multitude of layering in terms of percussive genius as this album. Even by Sun Ra standards, it's ambitious. This album is a monument to progressive improvisation. Obviously, at this point Sun Ra's been doing this for years, and has his. This is a monument to progression through jams, and truly a Sun Ra masterpiece. 9.5/10
