I think you're greatly missing the point of the thread.

lol, exactly what is the point in posting another "typical top album list"? I'm sorry the lack of typicality is upsetting you, but you can go ahead and read The Rolling Stone 500 and avoid this thread if you want. I won't khy, and I'm not going to stop posting just because you hate reading anything that isn't what you wanted it to be. I don't try to avoid typical choices at all (I think several of these are quite typical), I just don't like the **** you do.

I'm on 1983 I think? I'll post that up pretty soon. I tend to slack off when it's not a year I'm totally sure about.

**** it, I can't get over how much "Camino Del Sol" and "Another Green World" have grown on me thanks to this thread. Gonna go on a download spree and get a bunch of the other stuff listed here I haven't heard

1983?

1. Obviously, Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones

This one is a MASTERPIECE, way up there on my best rekkids of all time. Dude's a genius. More on this later.

2. Einstürzende Neubauten - Zeichnungen des Patienten O.T.
3. Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes
4. Swans - Filth
5. The Fall - Perverted by Language

I'm not a big Tom Waits fan. I have liked the odd song but not really a full album. Obviously that's very much an alternative rock selection for 1983.
