It grows on you. I love that album, but it's supposedly The Mars Volta's worst album? I don't think so at all.

Saw these guys when they toured for this album. Met up and talked with them after their mind blowing set and chatted it up. Great guys, brilliant song writers, but in my opinion they will never beat this albums energy. But the brilliance of material that has followed is great in different ways!

Yeah purchased it the other day as well as Frances The Mute. Can't pick between them, both great albums.

right on. it is more focussed. I've had both of these albums for a long time. frances the mute has some rediculous trax. track one gives me goose bumps everytime I hear it, but they overdo the ambient noise bigtime.it's almost a majority of the album. atleast you can skip it on deloused. the mars volta is like eating the best tasting steak you'll ever have, and quickly finding out it's 70% inedible fat.

Astonishing. I love this album and I haven't listened to it in ages. I think I'll dig it out tonight.
