The Drones - Havilah
http://www.thedrones.com.au/images/discs/havilah.jpg this is kind of all over the place. the lead singer kind of sounds like the guy from scratch acid. the music careens from blues to noise rock to dark folk and everything in between. maybe the songs need time to grown on me but on first listen they sound a bit unfocused and tend to drift along, shifting abruptly. some songs are also unnecessarily and distractingly dense. interesting listen though. 6/10 the vampires of dartmoore - dracula's musical cabinet http://www.hollowearth.org/images/gwen/vamp.jpg wtf? putting this album on would be a great way to make a room full of people really uncomfortable. |
robyn hitch**** - i often dream of trains
http://store.yeproc.com/view_image.p...0&newysize=450 yes!!! three and a half thumbs up. capability brown - voice http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/3...ybrown1ix0.jpg pretty laid-back fusion of progressive and psychedelic rock. very king crimson at points, but without the originality. could be worse... |
the unicorns - who will cut our hair when we're gone?
