7. Can - Tago Mago
Top 5. Obviously very difficult now to understand how I ignored this for so long - I'm never not in the mood for it. It has a very organic, fluid feel - it's hard to imagine a band being able to work together in such a flawless way, but Can does it here. Some of the most influential and original stuff is created here, and it's not just innovative - it's incredibly enjoyable. I knew I wouldn't be able to do a good review, it's just too good for words. Just listen.

8. The Stooges - Fun House
Talk about power. You get a very good feel for Iggy's wildness here, which makes all of the stories you've heard about vomiting on the audience and welcoming thrown glass sound that much more authentic. He really was as wild as they say, and Fun House is the perfect record to prove it. The power that he is able to capture here through the music is amazing, and 'Down on the Street' has to be the coolest strutting song ever.

9. Gal Costa - Gal
The crowning achievement of tropicália, easy. I sometimes wonder if it's the somewhat Americanized style she's got that I'm biased towards, but I don't think so. Yeah, she was influenced by the likes of Jefferson Airplane, but there's plenty of foreign-gal stuff going on here anyway. But I love the way her taste for American psychedelia permeated the music so flawlessly, lending some sort of unsurpassed power and timelessness to a record that probably was going to be wonderful to begin with. Not that Brazilians aren't powerful or timeless. I don't know.

I was wondering when you where gonna pop back up. Great selection as always, Tago Mago is perhaps my favorite on the list so far.

10. Brian Eno - Here Come the Warm Jets
Exposed Eno as the true genius behind Roxy Music's sound. Lots of experimentation done here - so much, in fact, that it never gets boring. One of the most sonically appealing and fun-packed albums ever made, as well as being one of the most forward thinking. Am I hearing shoegaze in 1973? Top 3.

11. The Jesus Lizard - Goat
Sincerely brutal and intense. Listen to this loud and you'll see what I mean. An album this powerful rarely comes along, and it's a shame that this is so overlooked. They deserve much more credit than they get, even just for writing, "so since the surgery, how's that ghost limb / hey man, say man have you been rubbin' your nub". As I read in another review, this album makes "you want to drink whiskey and fight ghosts." It really does, and I really do.

Nice list. Love all of them except Roxy Music's s/t, which I have neglected for some reason. As well as that Gal Costa album which has been sitting on my desktop for a while now. I'll probably listen to those today.

Only just got into this recently, though I've had it for almost a year maybe. Great album.
