Well of course you can't make yourself cry on command, I was talking about it physically. I thought along the lines of your whole family was killed in a freak fishing accident and you still couldn't cry. That would be weird. Some people don't show their emotions as much as others.

Bravo, fantastic review. No other album has shaped my musical background more than this one. It truly is an all time great, no matter how cool it is to like it.

I agree about Two Headed Boy, Pt. 2. This last part kills me everytime I listen to it.

But don't hate her when she gets up to leave.

I have listened to NMH for a few weeks now and every song blows me away. I had a few songs from this album and bought the whole CD yesterday. I listened to it twice already and it is just so freaking sweet.

Every now and then I get sick of it, but 10 years later it's still a great album. I had the same intial reaction to it as you did.

After 3 years of owning it, I find it to be one of a very few number of albums that I can't get enough of.

Have you heard jesse lacey's cover of it. That is what initially got me to give NMH a second shot after the first try with them failed. I ended up falling in love with the album the second time around.
