No, is it about the sex life of a convict?

Of course I have, nothing in his discography beats waltz #2 for me.
I have a lot of memories connected with it, so that may be why I
hold it so highly. Also, between the bars isn't that melancholy,
I'd class it as one of his cheery songs along with say yes and true love;
but again I'm being subjective and everyone will interpret his songs
disparately. That's what makes music, well music.

fair enough, different strokes. But Waltz #1 is definitely MY favourite Elliott Smith song...it just WORKS. Never fails to give me goosebumps, and it's such a sad and melancholy song.
