Really man? I think hating on Nickelback has become mostly a bandwagon thing and is a little cliche but I have to admit that was the worst record I have heard in a few years.

Just read this on Nickleback's Last.fm page:

This music is more properly called "art". The compositions forged by the 'Back rival even the most sophisticated of Beethoven's symphonies. In addition to the pure sonic euphoria the 'Back is capable of producing, the poetry in their lyrics are a good estimate of what Shakespeare would have created had he been born in 20th century Canada. Christ has returned, and his name is Chad.
Christ, I really needed that laugh.

As a Canadian, I've TRIED to like Nickelback but it just can't happen. They suck so bad. I was mortified seeing them at the Olympic closing ceremony.

As my best friend once quoted: "Nickelback = A cyst on the ass of Canadian music."

LOL

I lol'd.

I don't mind Nickelback. Some of their songs are quite good and their generally quite easy listening but I can't listen to a whole Nickelback album start to finish - it gets too repetitive and doesn't vary much.

They are your 2nd most played artist, You clearly like them and don't feel the need to deny because of peer pressure.

Firstly, Nickelback are not my second most played artist. They are the second most played in the last three months; overall they are 14th. This is because recently I have made a shuffle playlist of about 600 songs that I very regularly play and I happen to have a lot of Nickelback as me and my brother used to like them a lot when we were younger. The fact that I find them quite easy listening, as I said, means I decided to put all my Nickelback songs in the playlist so they get a fair amount of play. Also, I said I couldn't listen to a Nickelback album from start to finish but I never do that plus my main gripe with Nickelback is their repetitiveness, which is much less of a problem when you play them randomly in a shuffle with many other artists, so my point stands.
