B.r.m.c - Brmc
Swept into the mainstream on the cusp of a garage rock revolution, B.R.M.C have long been accused of pillaging the past and lacking originality. true, their music owes a lot to such bands as the jesus & mary chain and my bloody valentine with its lethargic guitars and droning feedback, but this is an album full of swagger, sleaze, attitude and a bit of talent thrown in for good measure.
As if plucked from the wome of the darkest night, this is a collection of nocturnally driven garage rock glazed with psychedelic chords and beach boy-esque melodies. tracks such as "whatever happened to my rock and roll" and "spread your love" are raucous, catchy, good old fashioned rock and roll songs designed to get liven up any mood, while "rifles" and "As sure as the sun" offer a dreamy, melodic and deeply satisying alternative to such stompers like "red eyes and tears"; a song oozed in a deep, dark pool of the dirtiest blues you can imagine, and "love burns"..in essence a pop song designated to the mainstream audience. the highlight on this album though, has to be "head up high". with an eerie choir, clanging guitar and droning bass, its a song immersed in atmosphere and poignancy. the lyrics - as with 99% of the songs on this album, are consistently concide yet thoughtful, offering tales of inner emotion and experiences. what makes this album great in my opinion is the intensity that runs throughout its veins. theres not a weak track. orginal? perhaps not. but in a day and age where the music industry is dominated by 4 blokes from new york and 4 boys from sheffield, this is a welcomed alternative. not for everyone, but definetly for those who like their music dark, edgy yet accessible. overall rating - 4/5 |

You had some nice information, but your grammar is poor. You need to put some cover art, record label, tracklisting, and release year up as well.
This sounds like an interesting band. I'm surprised I haven't heard of them. |

i dont see the need for including album art or track listing. if you like the sound of what ive wrote you'll get the album anyway. bar the odd coma in the wrong place and no capital letters, i think my grammar is ok personally.. but thats not what this is about. and thats the problem with America, a lot of music that deserves the attention gets overlooked.

Nope! Can't find one. Hiu, Led ZepStu doesn't post often, but when he does it's worth a read. These reviews aren't being judged on grammer or punctuality. This isn't school. Personally I thought it was well written and I certainly got the vibe he was trying to put over. Now hiu, can you do better? |

because he/she acts like a childish little fool. just because i said they should be shot for calling the bends a terrible album. you need to grow up hiu and add something constructive to this forum - because i havent seen anything you've wrote thats actually worth the read.

Firstly a 299 word review isn't long enough to give an overall impression for someone to go out and buy the album.Grammer and punctuality is important when writing a review, it doesn't have to be prefect I agree but you don't read reviews in the paper or even on review sites if they don't use capital letters. It's just a matter of presentation so people will take your review seriously.

this is a music forum. if i wanted to get my grammar perfect i would - considering im studying English at A-Level. if you cant take a post seriously because theres no capital letters then quite frankly i couldnt give a shit about your opinion. plus, i do not need YOU giving ME advice on how to write reviews.
