It is a bit ridiculous .. In my job searching as a fresh biologist, I've found there are hundreds of jobs as teacher available, but so far I've only found two looking to hire a biologist. Not that I've really scoured the depths of the job market or how you say, but it's a little disheartening.
But with any luck, I'll get the one I applied for which is with the government company which makes roads. They need biologists for assessing ecological consequences and stuff when building roads through nature.
