Its neck and neck between ODB and GZA for which one of the Wu Tang members is my favorite. Ol' Dirty Bastard's Return to 36 Chambers was one heckuva album. I think its fairly overlooked by fans (of Wu's solo albums.) because of Liquid Swords and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... however I think Return to 36 Chambers is right there with those two albums and deserves more credit. I might be off about the fact the album and artist are underrated but that's just from personal experience.
