Not an issue at all for me. I had a Russian Big Muff, and that thing destroyed my tone
I haven't had a whole lot of trouble with the Rat. Best example I can give of a Rat with a tweed tube amp is Xan McCurdy in Cake, or in his work with The Loved Ones:
I confess, I own the equipment I own, because at one point I was pursuing Xan's tone in his work with Cake, and even while I've nailed it, I've also developed my own sound that I use instead
so it all worked out in both ways
