He could stand to throw more power or charisma into his words. He raps like he's sweet talking a woman. Real mellow flow. When you catch him out of that element, his voice changes. He goes through a mini-gamut of styles. A style that gets to sounding like an islander one minute, falsetto up high, real low, etc. but he doesn't really ever come hard. He does, but not often. I follow you.
Make sure you've dipped through his material. Check out the track Top Qualified. It's on a Haiku D'Etat album and a Gift of Gab album, because it features altogether Aceyalone, Abstract Rude, Lyrics Born, Lateef the Truthspeaker, Myka 9, and Gift of Gab... Myka is second from last and he uses his time to run through 8 different styles basically. Check his projects with Freestyle Fellowship, Haiku D'Etat, Project Blowed, Magic Heart Genies, and Dave Dub & the Sutter Cain Gang. He has a wicked feature on the Amplive album Murder at the Discotech called Get Served. That's all just in case you wanted to give it another go.
