Before you buy it, ask your friend what he has. If the dealer knows you are a n00b, he will rip you off probably. If your friend can be trusted, have him buy it for you. I am guessing you are buying a gram... If he has mids, it should be like $10 a gram. If he has heds, it should be $20. I'm not in your area but that's a pretty standard thing.
mids are like the bottom of the weed ladder and heds are the top if you did not know. If there are stems and seeds and the bud isn't soft, it's mids. If it is seedless and just has the one stem, it's heds.
