It does. But that may be the danger. You don't want to have to depend on drugs. At least I know I don't want to.
And of course there's more than two or three groups, I just wanted to point out that in the coffeeshop itself, you don't really want to be to socialize. Not "your kind" of people there. At least not in the Netherlands

I live in the south, at the smallest bit of the Netherlands.
I'm a couple of hundred yards away from Germany here. When I scream really hard, the Germans can hear me. I'm about 4 miles away from Belgium.

We have Ernesto's, which attracts a lot of good ska and reggae bands.
And there's a lot of little festivals here.
