I think you like Pink Floyd if I'm not mistaken? then try Easy Star All Stars Dub Side Of The Moon and the newly released Dubber side Of The Moon which both have instrumentals on them as well as vocal tracks and are a decent segue way into Reggae.

For instrumentals in general you are generally looking at Dub. Some Dub is highly removed from it's original Reggae track (Dub versions were like the remix of their day and used as B sides or extended mixes of singles) or there are dedicated Dub artists out there who rarely use existing material (Scientist, Mad Professor etc)
