I know music is just, basically, tension and release. But too much tension starts to get on my nerves. I know music with too much release is boring, but it's also relaxing to me. If I want to go and crack a complicated song, I do it every once in awhile when I get bored. Most of the time, the songs I examine that I didn't like at first I end up liking a lot. Songs that I liked at first, I take a second look and I stop liking them so much.

I understand your concern, but my point got across, even if it wasn't especially politically correct, I don't know why there was any need for insulting my intelligence.. Just I believe in a balance in music. If there's too much dissonance without any release I start to get... on edge. That may be what Radiohead was going for when they wrote National Anthem (atleast to me, there's a lot of dissonance) but I can't stand being on edge for too long. Music is relaxing to me, I like thinking about the times and the chords and singing along. I dunno, I guess I have the musical taste buds of a soccer mom.
