Trust me Kay, if you really want to see her then you will be able to. It might be a pain but it is possible as long as you have the money. I realise the money can often be a problem in itself though.
Someone i was best friends with at the time moved to Belfast and it's easy to go and see her, even though it involves a flight. I have a mate who has just moved to London and I didn't realise just how cheap it was for me to get there and back again. It's a long journey but it's affordable. I have a mate in Manchester who I havent been to see yet but thats affordable too, and i have less money than you i bet.
You have every right to be upset, of course you do, but really it isnt gonna be as bad as it seems you are thinking it will be. You may need to prioritise the trip to see her, but you can do it.
