Some of The Artists you've named I'm unfamilar with but I am very impressed by your encounters with The Wailers, Toots & The Maytals, & Richie Havens.
I've been meaning to actually listen The Mighty Bosstones but haven't at this time.
My time meeting famous people was during a three year span in the 80s as an autograph collector as a kid. Most were really friendly and forthcoming with souvineers and guest list tickets for gigs they were playing. Some were absolute tossers. Some were and still are very big names although musically not always my cup of tea. I wonder if anyone else on MB have ever collected autographs.
Satchmo, do you reckon Autographs and bands would be an interesting thread?
Thanks for the 6 out of 5 for my meeting with The Police. I would mark yours as, Wailers 5/5 , Toots 4/5, Richie Havens, 5/5. I must concede yours are better than my meetings as you were actually working with them on a creative level as opposed to me as a spotty 12-15 year old getting their signitures.
