Yes, but they suck because the only band that they like is Metallica and if you say anything bad about them, they'll hurt you. badly. I got a huge bruise on my shin for telling them that Metallica isn't the only metal band out there. I'm pretty sure the only reason they know of the aforementioned metal band is because they saw them in guitar hero.

I guess what made us all stick together is we all had the same lifestyle and the music was a byproduct of that. When people did it the other way around, we called them posers. I'm glad I found them too

It's also amazing how much things changed, because now we have some pretty... interesting subcultures, because I've looked through pictures of my family from the 80's and 90's and their scenes were so much different than ours. My mom was a stereotypical grunge fan and my father was a skater. Looking at the skater culture of the past, compared to the west-49 worshiping kids that hang around the school, it's quite the stretch. And looking at pictures of my cousin when she was an emo (this was in 1998, when Emos were people who liked depressing music, and dressed slightly nerdy) it seemed so different in comparison to the emo of today, where you have kids with caked on eyeliner cutting themselves to look hardcore.
The Post-Rockers around here are really nice people, and I recently found out that they're quite fond of IDM, too. So far, within this period of two weeks, I'm approving of them
