It's interesting you ask this, because just a couple days ago my dad heard a duet he really loved at a concert. The piece, by Astor Piazzolla, was played by flute and classical guitar...although the music is modern, since Piazzolla lived in the 1990s and composed mostly tangos using a lot of counterpoint and dissonance, it appears:
