I'm set in my ways? Aren't you the one who came into this thread saying "I hate my generation, all a bunch of lazy no talent."
Now you've turned round and said you're not bashing current rock music? I thought they were ALL a bunch of lazy no talent?

I didn't offer you How Soon Is Now to prove current music isn't crap, I offered you How Soon Is Now to show you that despite getting that great sound in the studio, they couldn't recreate that sound live. Which was part of the problem for you (people making music through computers, but they couldn't transfer that sound to live events)
You've gathered from me I think virtually all music is worthy of excellence? Urm, what? I think there's good stuff in every decade, as well as bad stuff. If that's me thinking "all music is worthy of excellence" then so be it.
And modern music isn't filled with things you're preaching against. Like I said before, loads of bands are true to their roots but hypothetically... let's say music evolved and artists took advantage of technology a whole lot more than they are doing now. If there's substance to their songs, would you be against it because they base their sound solely on computers?
