I love the live feeling of this album, it really helps make it feel intimate. Tom Waits shows just how good a showman he is, cracking jokes with the audience and really making the album feel like it was being recorded at a club. I wish I could have found a full clip of "Nighthawk Postcards", that has to be one of the best Waits songs ever.
I am definitely going to pick up this album after reading what you thought, and watching that video
I get more and more into Tom every time I hear a new song. I love the jazzy/club feel to that video too.
