Nina Hagen Band - s/t (1978)

So we were in the shouty, when James and I were talking about what to send to each other. I was telling him that I've been listening to a lot of Female Punk bands lately, and that maybe I'll send him an album from that genre. However, it somehow ended up the other way around, with him sending me this Nina Hagen album.
I got hooked from the first track. That woman's voice is so crazy, and the music is so energetic you really wouldn't care what the hell they're shouting about in German. Electronic music is quite dominant in the arrangements, contrasting the roughness of the vocals. For a punk album, they can get a bit proggy, with tracks from 4 minutes to 6 minutes throughout the album, still the Rock n Roll is there all the way. Loved it! - from start to finish.
Thank you James.
Spectrum - Soul Kiss (Glide Divine) (1992)

... and we somehow ended up sending each other 2 albums. Crazy shoutbox. Anyway, so that's the other one. From
Spacemen 3 member Peter Kember as Spectrum.
I'm not familiar with the albums of
Spacemen 3 and now I realise that I really should check them out. As for this album: It starts with "How you satisfy me", a very catchy and sweet lo-fi tune, then the album takes a more experimental turn. It somehow felt like a mix between Garage and Space Rock. The only take I have on it, is that the album is over an hour long, and that can be exhausting at times. Still enjoyed it immensely.
-Double Thank you James.
