For some reason though,
Fierce Invalids reminds me of old bob (robert anton wilson) with his Illuminatus/Schrodinger's Cat trilogy. similar story telling; a great sense of humor and the ability to seamlessly relate two completely different things! Maybe they'd make a good pair?

I've got no clue how his older novels are though - so I'll definitely get
