Maybe I'm just insensitive and twisted but I love watching old movies and cartoons with offensive stereotypes. I find them hillarious for their shocking absurdity and they're historically fascinating.
There has always been some bigotry in my family, but everything now seems so mild in comparison to what was acceptable back in the day. That's not to say racism today is no big deal, don't get me wrong. But I think we have to be grateful of the progress we've made so far, and I think laughing at how stupid we used to be is healthy.
Anyway, racism in my family is mostly against black people, ****** is a commonly used word. On the other hand there are friends to the family who are black. Thankfully no one I know is "lets hang a darky" racist, though my grandma's cousin used to be married to a grand wizard in the KKK. He probably didn't have any black friends.
Opinions on homosexuality are mixed. Some of them (even my racially insensitive grandma) are surprisingly accepting and openminded about it. Then again I don't really know a lot of openly g
ay people around here.
Anyway, this is my favorite of the ads.
Probably the worst pickup advice in the history of ever.
