It's not an obsession just a current interest. I'm mostly a nerd who knows f*ck all about anything not having to do with music or video games but one academic interest I do have is psychology and what makes people the way they are.
Sexuality being a key interest.
I also hope nobody interprets my last post as being transphobic. I accept that gender dysphoria is real and that going transgender is better treatment for it than just dealing with it because genuine sufferers will never be able to.
But not every person undergoing trans surgery has this problem because things become trends and fads and people who don't really need it want it anyway. I think for some people, they have to deal with their gender, because while for GID sufferers trans surgery is a way to fix it, for people who don't really have gender dysphoria it can feed their delusions and make things worse. Not to mention, people with normal hormone levels shouldn't be so quick to take testosterone or estrogen pills.
A lot of people do things in the spur of the moment and it's these things we regret. Yes I sometimes fleetingly wonder what it would be like to be a chick but I'm not stupid enough to misinterpret this as "OMG I have gender dysphoria I need a vagina NAOW".
