Default Songs That Fall Through The Cracks

I've been kicking around this idea for awhile.

Every so often this happens to me. I'll be listening to a random assortment of songs or albums and I'll hear something, either a song or even an album that I had failed to recognize, or "fallen through the cracks" as you will. I'll hear a certain song that I'm sure I've heard 1000 times over but that one time, for whatever reason, the song will standout and amaze me. It's like some freak moment of clarity or something, where all the planets are aligned properly or some sh*t. Anyhow this is just a thread for posting the song(s) or albums that you suddenly reason are awesome. Maybe even the story of how you came to realize the awe inspiring power of the song in question.

This is preferable with songs or albums you've had for a longer period of times, nothing that you found amazing on the first listen because it defeats the purpose of the thread.

Here's mine, "Stones From the Sky" by post-metal band Neurosis.

I was listening to a friend's "best of 2001" mix this morning and this song came on and just immediately hit me. I've been listening to Neurosis for 3 years now and I had heard their 2001 album A Sun That Never Sets at least two times. I know that I had a pretty good recollection of the song "Stones From the Sky" because I first heard it on shrooms and I started freaking out at the end because I thought I bought a fuc*ed up CD. Yet it wasn't until I was listening to the song today that I really fully realized how amazing the song is. The emotion, the atmosphere, the power... the song really does illustrate why post-metal is superior to post-rock in every way imaginable, and it's not even that offensive to the ears of people who dislike metal.
