The fact that women *are* criticized for having short or no hair is what would make me consider shaving my head, or at least having my hair very short again (which would still give shaved-head benefits, such as needing little shampoo, etc., but would not involve the risk of skin nicks). The reason: shaving my head might make it easier for women who have short or no hair to be accepted.
However, in my case I have my hair long for mostly practical reasons, so I don't think I'll ever shave it (sorry, boo boo!): during the summer I do field work and long hair acts as a terrific natural sun shade. Thanks to my hair, I will never be a red neck (and believe me, there are plenty in Iowa).
Also, I must admit, I *do* think it is fun to see what one's hair does when it is long. Mine is actually the longest I ever have had it in my life right now...almost halfway down my back...and I confess I like seeing how the ends get curly and boingy. Hair is kinda fun to play with!.

Heh. It's true hair is fun to play with.
And I realise the issues that come with headshaving. But a lot of guys cope with them and choose the look, so I don't know why women shouldn't do the same other than the social conditioning that tells them it's a look not meant for women.
However this is not a case of me opposing social conditionining for the sake of it and in fact I'm somewhat of a traditionalist in several ways. I share the views of many men that women are more sexually desirable with smooth hairless skin, I just like to defend my fetish as being more consistant with that belief because I do find that men who oppose not removing all of the hair on the body (pits, legs, vag) but oppose removal of hair on the head are being irrational, or at least it's irrational to me. It's not consistant to me.
So I can agree with you that a woman who chooses not to shave any hair on her body OR head is a little more consistant, it's just not attractive to me at all and I think women who want to make themselves attractive is just fine. I still love women with long beautiful hair and a smooth hairless body even if it's less consistant, I just equate smoothness with being feminine and hairiness with being masculine.
I don't have any real issue with hair on the vaginal area, fur pie is cool with me though very noticable happy trails not so cool and trimming is prefered. Airmpits? Prefer them hairless but if theres a little hair there I wouldn't call it a deal breaker. And european chicks are hawt as f*ck and it doesn't bother me if they don't do it.
Legs though are one of the most aesthetically pleasing parts of a woman's body and any hair at all just obscures that for me. Though I probably could make exception if she doesn't shave in a few days and she just has a little non stubby hair that's blonde and transparent and you can't really feel it, then it wouldn't be that bad I guess. Same applies for arms too, though noticably hairy arms on a girl is even more ugly than hairy legs for me.
And a little (just a little) hair on the butt isn't bad at all. This one guy I know compared it to the fuzz you get on the finest peaches.
But any facial hair besides the eyebrows and lashes, no matter what, is just repulsive. As talented of an artist (and pretty) as Frido Kahlo was, moustaches and unibrows are never hawt on a gal. <_<
And women who shave their heads but NOT anything else on their body is a huge turn off and I probably find it even more unattractive than women with hair all over head included, just because it's so inconsistant and because it seems like they are only trying to reject as many gender roles as possible and women who want to be dudes is not a thing for me.

Do not send pictures of any of your bald girl friends to me if you know better.
