It's really overdue for England to realize that they're not a great team. You haven't won the World Cup in 44 years, yet you still expect victory in every tournament. The sooner you lower your expectations, the sooner you can start enjoying the games. (That's not to say that they shouldn't have beat Algeria.)

Just because a player has a couple of bad games in vital matches its no reason to get rid of him. Ronaldo had the same stigma for years and Messi was terrible in the Champions League semis against Inter-Milan, it just happens and its part of a players development.
