I don't have any problems with the slick production of DSOTM and later releases. I agree that it lacks the organic quality of earlier Floyd, but it represents another stage in the evolution of the band, mainly where they became masters of studio craft. I recall you saying it was the beginning of the end and I found that to be a really ridiculous statement because the only previous Floyd albums that can compete with DSOTM and the 3 albums that followed are Piper and Meddle.
