I think it just all seemed true. Beginning with Adam Sandler's home movies, and footages of his first gigs, then him as a grown up depressed comedian. Watching that film, after noticing how all my favourite comedians suffered from depression from Peter Sellers to Sarah Silverman. Then his Andy Kaufman moment on the piano and then Adam Sandler sings Lennon's "Real Love". I truly did crack up. Then of course, another Lennon song, with the ending credits.
It just was so familiar. That curse of the comedian, the sad clown, that somehow no one realises how unhappy he is underneat
h this phoney disgusting mask.
Just loved it. Laughed out loud while crying. It just doesn't get better than that.
P.S I do tear up at everything usually, after 8.00 AM (and now it's 10.30 AM - so that might be the reason behind my overemotional eyes)
