Uh, deep? No I don't think I'd say deep. I agree with you there. But as far as personal goes, you can tell some songs they are writing because they've felt, and some songs they are writing because it sounds pleasent and they needed lyrics.

It can be sorta rough being a fan of them, most people are quick to judge, because they're tired of hearing "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "21 Guns" on the radio.

Amen to the last part. I'd love a lot of 90's bands a whole lot more if these idiot DJ's with a death grip on their grunge collections were at the controls. We used to have a segment up here called the "grunge plunge" (since I stopped driving I don't know if its still around) and the best part about it was they would play the grunge you never heard on the radio.
As a really brief aside, i'd be fine with never hearing Nirvana on the radio ever again.
