yeah because that worked SOoooo well.... who do you think is stifling the music industry today?
who do you think is leading the parade for 'good' music (the way it was back in the 70s) at the expense of legitimately new/unproven stuff?
rehashing the past will never be the solution for the future. then again learning from mistakes requires the ability to own up to having been wrong. regardless of my own feelings towards hippies and boomers, i don't think many bands would take up that charge anyway because they'd come off as contrived and cliche. who is anyone in the west to be 'demanding' anything of the rest of the world? why is the western idea of 'peace' the one everyone else is supposed to follow? how can western 'peace' - which is rooted in social
disparity be used to promote social prosperity?
and please PLEASE don't try to feed me the line about taking 'it' away from the rich and spreading it out to the masses. if you want your turn on the throne just own up to it, don't front altruism to cover jealousy.
