the ones at blair drummond arent caged, none of the animals are. the monkeys are on a largeish island with a shelter and a climbing frame and such, the reason they are on an island is that monkeys cant swim
so they dont go near the water!
all the animals are free to run around, obviously the lions and such have a fence between the gazelles and stuff but there's a gate thats always open and the lions generally dont go near it, all the gates are open!
