Really? This isn't something I've heard of, so I'd like to see a good source to back this claim before I'm prepared to believe it. The reason is, aside from what I mentioned in my last post, there are other medications which are very effective against anxiety so there shouldn't even be much need for doctors to prescribe it even if it could help.
I looked for it and anxiety treatment is not something that comes up in the wikipedia article for medicinal cannabis.
